Officials from Braitaling Watches, Switzerland recently visited the Visdaliya Cluster in Surat district to discuss the Sustainable Tribal Development Program and the Van Dhan Yojana. During their visit, they engaged with tribal beneficiaries, exploring opportunities for sustainable livelihood initiatives aimed at improving the economic well-being of tribal communities. The discussions focused on leveraging local resources and traditional knowledge to create long-term, sustainable development pathways for the tribal population.
As part of the visit, the officials were given a demonstration of bamboo craft products and minor forest produce crafted by the tribal artisans of the Visdaliya Cluster. These products showcase the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of the region, emphasizing the potential for expanding market access and increasing income opportunities for tribal communities through the sustainable use of forest resources.
